From August 8 to 11, 2025, Legends of the Ball, Inc. (LOB Inc.) had the privilege of joining the Dallas Wings for their Inspiring Women Weekend, a powerful celebration presented by GEM (Girls Empowered by Mavericks). This annual event spotlighted three remarkable Nancy Lieberman Women of Inspiration Award honorees:

• Jody Conradt, Trailblazer Woman of Inspiration — a Naismith Hall of Fame coach renowned for leading the University of Texas Longhorns to a perfect 34–0 season and national championship in 1986, coaching over 900 collegiate wins, and emphasizing integrity and academic success (Dallas Wings).
• Jennifer Bartkowski, Community Woman of Inspiration — CEO of Girl Scouts of Northeast Texas, instrumental in launching STEM initiatives like the $15 million STEM Center of Excellence and the first Girl Scout DreamLab in Texas (Dallas Wings).
• Kimberly Bizor Tolbert, Businesswoman of Inspiration — newly appointed Dallas City Manager as of January 22, 2025; the first African American woman to hold that role in Dallas, overseeing a $5.2 billion budget and 13,000+ employees (Dallas Wings).

LOB Inc.’s board members were honored to attend the Friday, August 8 game at College Park Center—where, at halftime, the honorees were formally recognized and participated in an engaging panel discussion hosted by Dia Wall (Dallas Wings). It was a stirring moment that connected generations of women champions on and off the court.

At Legends of the Ball, Inc., our mission is to preserve the history, promote the present, and ensure the future of women’s professional basketball. That aligns deeply with the spirit of Inspiring Women Weekend—celebrating women who not only shape the game but also its community and governance. Our board was present throughout the weekend—to pay tribute, to network, and to recommit to our shared goal of uplifting women’s basketball at every level.
