The Golden State Valkyries recently hosted a powerful tribute to the rich history of women’s professional basketball in the San Francisco Bay Area, shining a spotlight on the trailblazing athletes of the Women’s Professional Basketball League (WBL). Legends of the Ball, Inc. (LOB) was honored to be part of this meaningful event, which celebrated the pioneers who laid the foundation for today’s game.

As proud promoters of this initiative, LOB was on hand to share the story of “The Ball” and the groundbreaking legacy of the WBL. The pre-game atmosphere was electric, with media personnel showing genuine interest and enthusiasm as they engaged with our team and learned more about the organization’s mission to preserve and promote the history of women’s professional basketball.

This event marked a significant moment of recognition and education, not only for fans but also for members of the media who were introduced to the impactful work of Legends of the Ball, Inc.
